Abstract
Two condensate modes with resonant Raman pulses were used to create pairs of Bose-Einstein condensates with relative number squeezing. The effects of dissipation in the creation of quantum states with squeezed relative numbers were studied using quantum model. Linear equations were analyzed to evolve the influence of nonlinear intrinsic atomic interactions. The results of quantum simulations used to validate the semiclassical model efficiently predicted scaling for large numbers.
