Abstract
The authors revisited Hutchinson and Falconer’s theorems on the Hausdorff dimension of self-similar fractals [ J. H. Hutchinson , “Fractals and self-similarity”, Indiana Univ. Math. J. 30, 713-747 (1981; Zbl 0598.28011 ), K. Falconer , “Fractal geometry: mathematical foundations and applications” (1990; Zbl 0689.28003 )]. Based on stronger conditions, a simpler proof of the Hausdorff dimension formula is given.
