Abstract
Teachers and students discuss pedagogies that lead to meaningful research for prose and poetry: What methods and exercises effectively motivate students to research reliably? How do we facilitate turning facts into lively narratives and poems? How do we research and write respectfully about different cultures, subcultures, and times? Who owns the story, and when does ownership become a problem? How do we handle significant research in sixteen weeks?
