Abstract

Shared Mission: Unite, Support, Achieve (USA) is an interprofessional training program that prepares graduate speech-language pathology students to provide collaborative rehabilitation services to military service members and veterans (SM/Vs) with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Speech-language pathology program faculty and professionals from campus units, including the Military Resource Center, Counseling Center, and the Student Accessibility Resource Center, collaboratively teach graduate speech-language pathology students (hereinafter referred to as students) about cognitive-linguistic intervention, military cultural competence, and counseling/support services for SM/Vs with TBI to prepare them to serve this unique population.
