Abstract

A spacing study is performed on a dual-element dipole. Two distinct modes of operation are found: dipole mode and Yagi mode. It is found to achieve a high realized gain (6.3 dBi) at dipole bandwidth combination (Yagi mode). The antenna also maintains around 2 dBi realized gain within the-10-dB Impedance bandwidth outside of the combination (dipole mode). A-10-dB Impedance Bandwidth of 16.7% is reported.
