Abstract

Part I of the article that describes confirmatory adaptive platform trial (CAPT) design for COVID-19 treatment development. In the Introduction, we provide generate description of ACTT, CATCO and SOLIDARITY trials which are emerging as confirmatory trials. We then describe key elements of CAPT design, followed by legal and regulatory requirement for confirmatory trial designs.
