The Effect of Pre-Activity Materials on Students’ Learning in a Flipped Classroom

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

The main purpose of this mixed methods study is to examine whether there are significant differences in preservice students’ learning experiences in a flipped course when the pre-activities materials were prepared in a format with textbook and videos. Student perceptions regarding the flipped classroom did not differ between two groups. This study concludes that pre-class activities are equally effective in the quantitative measure either watching video lectures or reading the textbook although students with who considered themselves as a visual learner reported that they preferred watching videos rather than reading articles or books.
