Abstract

Google Analytics is currently right in the middle of a BIG change. The current backend platform for Google Analytics, “Universal Analytics”, rolled out in 2012. Now, Google is phasing that platform out. The new Google Analytics 4 platform will replace Universal Analytics. Universal Analytics will stop collecting data on July 1, 2023, and access to old data is only guaranteed for 6 months after that, through December 2023. This presentation covers a checklist of getting your site switched over, and updating your workflows.
