Abstract

An interview is presented with historian Patrick Washburn. When asked about black newspapers, he discusses the theme of objectivity in relation to white and black journalism. When asked about how his journalism experience impacted his historical research, he discusses the historian Barbara Tuchman and writing for a wide audience.
