The ‘Semi-Regular Property’ of Extremal Tree Structures

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

<div class="line" id="line-5"> We consider various graphical indices arisen from phylogenetic tree reconstruction, bio-chemistry and pure graph theory. We characterize extremal tree structures with respect to these indices and de&filig;ne a rather general &lsquo;semi-regular&rsquo; property for such structures. The question for the possible functional relation between the discussed indices will also be explored, which leads back to tree bisection and reconstruction in the study of phylogeny.</div>
