Abstract
Georgia Southern Botanical Garden, lead artist, with Penny Brice, Joel Varland and GSU student collaborators. Geometric garden of four types of indigo grown in Georgia (two native and two imported for commodity production). Installation designed to encourage visitors to the garden to think about the broader role of plants and their effects on both society and the environment as well as the garden as a site of both learning and experimentation. Funded through a 2005 Georgia Southern Faculty Teaching Grant. Included a public participation in the construction of installations and dyeing demonstrations at the Georgia Southern Arts Fair, April 2006.
