Abstract

Turbulent mixing of reacting flows is computationally studied for high-Reynolds number flows, Re = 1.2x106. The goal of the present research is to understand the entrainment, stirring and molecular mixing as well the parameters affecting these stages of turbulent mixing. The study shows that the fluids mixing enhance the mixing rate and the rate of production. An increase of temperature, with the increase of the production rate of the products, is also observed. An increase in turbulence kinetic energy is observed with the increase of mixing rate.
