Abstract

This session will share the initial process, results, and updates of a Participatory Evaluation Research (PAR) design to engage Parent Researchers from Parent University (Parent U); a parent-driven, community-development program,. By applying the bioecological theory to examine Parent U’s sustained success, this session will engage attendees in applying these concepts in family-school-community partnerships across different systems within their own programs. We will discuss the collaboration between a University and Parent U leaders to empower the use of research skills to assess program impacts.
