Abstract

This is the third meeting of the Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematical Modeling (QRaMM) working group. QRaMM is one of three research strands initiated by the Wyoming Institute for the Study and Development of Mathematical Education (WISDOMe). A focal point emerging in 2012 related to how an individual’s perspective on context might impact the individual’s quantitative reasoning. For this meeting we plan to expand the discussion related to context. Participants can expect to engage in dialogue focusing on research issues related to design, implementation, and analysis of tasks that could support and/or investigate secondary students’, university students’, and teachers’ quantitative reasoning.
